Award of Excellence for Exterior Restoration
The Cleveland Restoration Society and AIA recognized the Cleveland Public Auditorium Historical Restoration project. As part of the Global Center for Health Innovation project, VAA restored the west façade of the Public Auditorium. Our scope of work involved the design of new vestibules, demolition of the 1964 addition, repair of stone and masonry, and installation of historically accurate details. New granite and limestone were installed in damaged or removed areas so that the stone of the west façade matches the original condition when built in 1922.
